My last article on the Amazon Associates Program, I wrote about how to properly set up your Amazon Associates (astore) on your blog or your website. For this article though, I am going to give a few tips on how to start making money with the Amazon Associates program and turn it into a business.

When I first started using the Amazon Associates program, I thought that putting up banner ads in my sidebars and putting the buy now button in my posts. Would generate big bucks and help me monetize my website. I found out that it was not going to be that easy, and I had to find different ways to make my Amazon Associates program work for me. So these are some thing I learned that helped me sell big when using the Amazon Associates affiliate program.

Relevancy: Make sure whatever amazon associates links or image ads you have on a specific post or page of your site is relevant to the content on the page.

Products Post: I found that when writing an article on a specific product that I like or use. Then sprinkling amazon affiliate links in my anchor text and sometimes a photo of the product in the body, that this process works the best with my Amazon Associates account.

Trends: Whenever there is a hot topic or a new hot product online, it is a good process to start posting articles on the trend with your own twist. The twist, I usually throw on the topic is a way to throw in a Amazon Affiliate link (product) related to the hot online trend.

Buyers Articles: Whenever you write a article with an intent to link a specific amazon affiliate link to it. You should write about a specific question or topic someone might have when they are at that “buyers point”. Whenever a buyer is searching for a specific product that they might not know the name of. It is best to be found under that last search term the buyer typed in right before they buy, because you get the commission!
